Spruce Mountain Ranch Wedding Videographer

Cinematic Wedding Films in Larkspur, Colorado

Spruce Mountain Ranch isn't just a venue; it is the quintessential Colorado experience. Located in Larkspur, just 30 minutes south of Denver, it balances rustic ranch charm with high-end luxury. As a videographer, I love this venue because it offers two completely distinct vibes: the sweeping, epic mountain views of the Upper Ranch and the intimate, tree-lined romance of the Lower Ranch.

Whether you are planning a ceremony at Trey’s Vista or a reception in Albert’s Lodge, we know exactly how to capture the light, the landscape, and the emotion of your day at Spruce.

The Best Spots for Cinematic Video at Spruce Mountain

One of the most common questions we get is: "Where should we go for golden hour?" Because the property is split into two sections, the answer depends on where you are celebrating.

If You Are at The Upper Ranch:

• Trey’s Vista: This is the spot for epic, wide cinematic shots. The sweeping grassland leads your eye straight to the mountains. We love filming here at sunset because the sun dips behind the peaks, creating a perfect golden rim-light around you.

• The Tree-Lined Path: On the walk out to Trey’s Vista, there is a stunning path lined with pines. This is perfect for intimate, walking shots where you can hear the crunch of the gravel and just be together.

If You Are at The Lower Ranch:

• Mountainside: This ceremony site is surrounded by wheat fields and offers a more textured, rustic look.

• Angus Lake: For a softer, more reflective vibe, we can steal you away to the water’s edge. The light hitting the water in the late afternoon is pure magic on film.

• The Courtyards at Night: Once the sun goes down, the market lights in the courtyard create a romantic, warm glow that looks incredible on camera—perfect for a private last dance or a sparkler exit.

Not sure which side of the ranch fits your film style?

• Choose the Upper Ranch if you want wide, epic drone shots, "big sky" energy, and that feeling of being on top of the world.

• Choose the Lower Ranch if you want a blend of rustic intimacy and mountain views. From the 'secret garden' feel of Genevieve’s Garden to the open air of the Mountainside deck, it offers a grounded, historic atmosphere.
